In conjunction with Table Tennis Scotland and the National Lottery’s “Awards for All”, Dundee and District Table Tennis Association is offering the opportunity to play table tennis at Ward Road Gym on Wednesday mornings between 10am and 12 noon.
Starting on 7th September, the sessions are aimed at mature adults who either have never played or who haven’t picked up a bat for years. The emphasis will be on combining gentle to moderate exercise with the social benefits of playing with friends. The mornings will be very informal, with time for tea and chat as well as playing time. Cost will be £3 per session but the first visit is free as a taster.
Recent research has highlighted the value which playing table tennis can provide, not only as an aerobic exercise but also as one of the best forms of exercise for “brain health” , stimulating brain function and increasing concentration and alertness. Players also get massive benefits from the social and recreational interaction which participating in a local group can offer.
Bottom line is --- it’s fun and it’s available on Wednesday mornings at Ward Road Gym from 7th September!!
