Korfball is an up an coming mixed-sex, non-contact sport from Holland that is gaining hold in the Universities and is branching out to city clubs like Dundee.
Students that played in the Universities who now have graduated still love Korfball and want to keep playing it and so clubs are popping up around Britain catering for them as well as the general public wanting to try something different and get fit.
Dundee Korfball Club started just over 2 years ago and has grown from strength to strength. It's attracting many new people that have come from various sporting backgrounds as well as people wanting to get fit and those looking to meet new people. It now has two teams in the Korfball Scottish League and has even been invited over to Holland to play in a very successful Etten-Leur Tournament. Training is on Thursdays at 6.30pm to 8pm in The Ardler Complex and is open to all newcomers.
Dundee Korfball Club also has a Junior Training Session which has been growing steadily since it began over a year ago. It's a great way to keep kids active and build their confidence and social skills with other children in a mixed-sex team orientated sport. The training sessions for Junior Korfball is on Thursdays 5.30 to 6.30pm.

Its a very sociable sport and being mixed-sex you will get to mingle with a lot of different people. We have a lot of social nights-out throughout the year and it's a great way to meet new people; whither you are new to the city or not.

Korfball is a great way to keep fit. It's an active, fast paced sport that encourages teamwork as well as giving challenges to each individual. It will improve your cardio, muscles, reflexes, confidence and communication skills.
There is plenty of room to become part of a team that plays in the Scottish Korfball League where you will play teams from St.Andrews, Edinburgh and Glasgow. There are also special tournaments throughout the year to partake in, including; Summer Outdoors Tournaments, international Tournaments and everyone's favourite, Beach Korfball!
Korfball is everywhere! You just have to look. We have had many invites to play across the country and abroad.
