The Midland U16 Boys Hockey Team, coached by Grove Menzieshill's Jamie Carnegie, have won the Scottish Inter-District Championship at the new facility of Glasgow National Hockey Centre – the pitch which will be used for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

The team put in a string of sparkling performances to bring home the Scottish title with a 100% record – the first time for many years that the trophy has not been won by either of the big guns from East and West.

Co-Captains Cameron Golden & Cameron Griffiths (both members of Grove Menzieshill Hockey Club) are pictured receiving the trophy from Scottish Hockey President Martin Boag.
