Kanzen Karate to compete at European Karate Championships

A squad of 26 athletes from Dundee and Angus have been selected to represent Kanzen Karate Scotland at the World Union of Karate Federations (WUKF) European Karate Championships in Romania this week. The four day event begins on Thursday and is to be held in the City of Cluj-Napoca, bringing together the best Karate practitioners from across Europe. Almost 2000 athletes will be attending and Kanzen will be looking to repeat their success from last year where they returned with a large medal haul.

Kanzen Karate Chief Instructor, Roy O’Kane said:

“The entire team have been training hard  for this event and we are very much looking forward to it. We have a number of athletes competing at this level for the first time and I’m excited for them too. You are up against the best in the world at these events but we’ve shown we can compete at that level in the past and I'm confident our athletes will give it their all.”
