Mr Crisan, who travelled from Romania, was greeted by Lord Provost Bob Duncan and Councillor Lynne Short. This was followed by a visit to the Kanzen Karate HQ Dojo at Manhattan Works where he met members of Kanzen.
Kanzen Karate Chief Instructor, Sensei Roy O'Kane said:
"We were delighted to welcome the WUKF World Karate President, Mr Liviu Crisan, to Dundee where he could see at first hand the work we have been doing to promote the art of Karate. He was very impressed by our set-up and its great that Kanzen is being recognised at such a high level. To have such a distinguished guest visit our Dojo is a real honour and its really down to the work of the entire team here. We will keep working hard to ensure that we get even better as a group and that Kanzen Karate remains a centre of excellence for the art and sport."
