Menzieshill Whitehall Swimming and Water Polo Club marked the end of this years school swimming sessions with a fundraising event by organising a triathlon. Over 40 swimmers aged between 8 and 16 years took part in a gruelling reverse triathlon - run, cycle and swim. Competitors were divided into 4 different categories.  Tri-star 1 (10 years and under) run 600m, cycle 1800m swim 200m; Tri-star 2 (11/12 years) run 900m, cycle 2700m swim 400m; Tri-star 3 (13/14 years) run 1200m, cycle 3600m swim 800m; Tri-star 4 (15 years and over) run 1500m, cycle 4500m, swim 1200m.
All competitors did really well and gave it their all. Luckily the good weather helped to make this a superb event. Winners for each category were: Jake Muir, Ailsa Young, Kirsty Bell, and joint winners Hannah Edwards and Rebecca Duff. Lots of parents volunteered to ensure the smooth running of this popular event.
