Club Information

Tayside Musketeers Basketball Club has a long and proud history. Originally formed in 1993 by coach John Grant as Arbroath Musketeers, the club has continued to grow and provide opportunities for athletes covering the Dundee and Angus area of Tayside with a reputation of excellence.

The club's philosophy is to provide opportunity and development to as many people as possible and is beginning to see success with the number of participants continuing to grow in the region.

The club caters for all youth levels from under 12 through to under 18 and provides participation at the appropriate level whether it be for recreation or competing in one of the elite national league programmes. Many of our athletes go on to represent regional sides, are proud to represent Scotland and also go on to play abroad.

We provide a high standard of coaching and actively engage the community through various volunteering opportunities for those who want to get involved. We are always looking to develop the potential of our coaches and volunteers which we believe benefits the community in return.

The club is heavily involved in various partnerships and continuously works alongside local businesses, Angus Sports Development, Dundee Sports development, sportscotland, and the governing body basketballscotland. Through these partnerships the club has been accredited Angus Club Excellence status and Clubdundee development status.

Our community and family approach has resulted in the club being successful on the basketball court, having secured 11 national titles in total and are currently the under 16 men National League Champions and Playoff Winners.

At national league level the club is proud to have under 16 and 18 men's teams, an under 18 women's team and have this season expanded to two under 16 womens teams.

The Musketeers in association with basketballscotland are also excited to announce a brand new Dundee and Angus Regional Development League for under 12 and 14 teams this season. Have a look at the where to play section for further information.

We also have a busy calendar of various school holiday camps every year so keep an eye out if you want to get involved.

Musketeer basketball is a great place to be to experience and enjoy the sport.

Be part of the Musketeer family.
